Ex-presidential candidate, Col (RTD) Kizza Besigye and Kyadondo East lawmaker, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine have met.
This after a recent ‘deal’ between Besigye’s People’s Government and Bobi’s People Power to cease verbal exchanges between the two camps.
A brief meeting Monday at the Catholic shrine in Namugongo during a mass to celebrate Uganda Martyrs Day on June 3, 2019 is the pair’s first meeting since the said pact. They exchanged pleasantries as FDC President Patrick Amuriat Oboi looked on.
Besigye has since not come out to voice his take on the agreement having been represented by the Betty Nambooze-led team. Bobi Wine’s camp too was led by his spokesman, Joel Ssenyonyi.
To many though, this is a similar meeting to that of Besigye and President Yoweri Museveni in the 2016 Martyrs Days at the Catholic Shrine, Namugongo and that not much can come out of any such meetings.
