UGANDA: A combined security force has Monday arrested a man believed to be attached to terrorist group, Al-shabab.
Well-placed security sources say Abdikadir Mohammed Mahat was arrested at 3pm Monday afternoon at Elegu border.
At the time of his arrest, he was being driven in Chamonix car, registration number SSD 168 BC on his way to Juba, South Sudan.
Others arrested are; Sulaiman Dhahir and Mohamed Biriq.
Inside sources say the trio was detained at the Central Police Station, Gulu so as to spend Monday night.
They were transferred to Kampala by the Counter Terrorism experts for proper management.
Details available show that before Mahat fled Nairobi last year, he was accused by the United States of America of providing support to the Al-shabab in Somalia.
