Driver dodges dog, knocks priest dead

A speeding dyna truck, registration number UAY 655U white in color, has Thursday morning knocked dead a priest attached to Te-boke Vicarage, West Lango.

The deceased has been identified as Rev. Deacon Isaac Ojok, a resident of Obile, Omarari parish in Omoro Sub county, Alebtong district. The accident happened at Amuca, on Lira – Kampala highway.

According to a local radio, Unity FM, the killer truck first overtook a taxi but ahead of it, was a dog and that in an attempt to dodge it, the truck ended up on a motorcycle registration number, UDX 936A.

The rider, James Odur, also died as a result of the accident, on arrival at Lira Regional Referral Hospital.
