The Electoral Commission (EC) boss Justice Simon Byabakama Mugenyi has said that no candidate vying for political office in the 2021 general elections will be allowed to conduct fundraising activities after nominations in October 2020.
According to the EC boss when the campaigns start, candidates should not give or receive any donations since they will all be considered corrupt and penalised.
Further, he said that presidential candidates will be nominated by the Electoral Commission at dates to be announced.
