The police are investigating circumstances under which a 36-year-old woman died at a shrine in Mattuga, Wakiso district.
Well-placed sources say Noeline Nansamba died Wednesday morning at a shrine owned by Shaban Kayiza in Kirwanila Village, Matugga, Wakiso.
However, in a statement at Mattuga Police Station, Kayiza said Nasamba was brought by her relatives for treatment at his shrine at 2pm Tuesday and was recieved by John Luswata.
Luswata, however, claims the details of the people, who dropped her off, for treatment were not captured. He insists the deceased was brought in a critical condition.
Deputy Spokesman, Kampala Metropolitan Police, Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the incident.
Owoyesigyire said the body of the deceased has been conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem.
THREE ARRESTED
Meanwhile, three people have been arrested to help in investigation. They are; Kayiza, Luswata and a one Siraj.
“Investigations into the matter have been instituted and a charge of murder is being investigated,” Owoyesigyire said.
