Inside M7’s COVID-19 Sunday address: Shutdown on local transport, civil servants & Inter district movements

President Yoweri Museveni is expected to address the nation on more stringent measures on COVID-19 Sunday afternoon.

This, after a confirmed case Sunday morning.

Now, well-placed sources say taxi and bus parks will be shutdown. Also, there will be an inter district lockdown (no crossing one district to another).

And, non-essential staff of the civil service are to be asked to work from home and institute shifts.

The new guidelines are expected to reduce interactions and gatherings and likely spread of COVID-19.
