Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo Mafabi has denied being the occupant of his car during the time when it was intercepted by the red top security over bad driving along the 7th street in Kampala city.
During the crackdown on bad driving and illegal use of car sirens and flood lights in Kampala by security operatives, several cars, including that belonging to Sironko district NRM chairman and Kampala modernity proprietor Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo Mafabi, were impounded.

The crackdown follows a directive by CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to arrest all VIPs and military drivers who use the road badly, claiming that they are untouchable by the traffic police.
Gen. Muhoozi, through the successful implementation of the operation, has deployed red-top military police on most streets of Kampala to help the traffic police curb the vice.
Hajji Sulaiman Lumolo says that his car, registered as M/S LUMOLO, was impounded while being driven by his driver, who was taking it for service on 7th Street.
“I was not in the car, nor was I driving; I had sent my driver to take the vehicle for service; he is the one who could have messed up, not me,” Lumolo told the media in Kampala.
All the seized cars were parked at the inspectorate of motor vehicles in Naguru, Kampala, waiting for their fate.
By press time, it was not clear what punishment would be given to the owners of the seized vehicles.
