The State Minister for Water, Ronald Kibuule has said his children, Raymon Kato and Rayden Wasswa wanted him to keep home, the day they passed away.
This, he said during a prayer held Tuesday at his home in Mbalala, Mukono.
“My kids came to me in the morning but since I had to go to town, I told them I was leaving,” a tearful Kibuule said.
He revealed that he learnt about the death of his children after reaching home.
“In the evening I received a call that my kids were not okay and had been rushed to Albert Hospital in Mukono. They didn’t tell me they were dead until I reached there and confirmed by myself,” he said.
Kibuule’s children, Kato and Wasswa are said to have drowned at around 5pm on Monday.
Both parents were away at the time.
They had been left with their caretakers.
Circumstances under which they made it to the pool side remain unclear.
