The Police in Kabale District are investigating circumstances under which a Senior Five of Kigezi High School was stoned to death in schools row.
The deceased has been identified as Rogers Bakashaba.
Kigezi Region Police Spokesman Elly Maate confirmed the incident.
Maate said the deceased was hit by a blunt object which shattered his head.
This, he explained happened after a group of rowdy students of Kigezi High School sneaked out of their school boundaries at Rugarama Hill in Kabale Municipality and moved five kilometers away before attacking Nyabikoni S.S.S students.
The Kigezi men were defeated in stones exchanges.
28 ARRESTED
Meanwhile, 28 students have been arrested to help in investigation.
The suspects are being detained at Kabale Central Police Station Vide SD 34/09/06/2019.
Maate said that the reasons for Kigezi students who were armed with sticks, stones and bricks are not yet known and 28 of them have been arrested to help in investigations.
Maate said the students will be held individually responsible for their actions.
