Makerere University calls off global meet over Corona Virus

“We regret to announce that the World Health Summit Regional Meeting, scheduled to take place April 27-28, 2020, will be postponed to a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” part of the tweet Thursday afternoon reads.  

According to the same tweet, through the organizers of the World Health Summit in Berlin, “We will keep you updated about the Regional Meeting in Kampala.”

This news site understands that Makerere University won a bid to host the Summit for the first time it’s happening in Africa.

Earlier, Kilak North Member of Parliament handed himself in when he revealed that he had not screened upon his return from South Korea on March 5, 2020.
