A tune of over one thousand both primary and secondary school teachers were promoted while 117 seed schools structures are under construction in just a period of four years.
This was revealed by the minister of Education and sports first lady Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni while addressing the nation on the 4th day of NRM manifesto week.
The minister said that her ministry has tremendously achieved over 90% of the issues contained in the 2016 NRM manifesto which include recruitment of professional teachers for lower Education, construction of several buildings at 8 Government aided Universities, enhancing human resource at the Universities.
She noted that during the NRM tenure of the last five years Manifesto the Education sector improved a lot mainly in sports where the country won medals from International participation like during the common wealth games , Uganda’s SHE crane is ranked number 6 in world rankings while the Cranes was reached the knock out stage in their previous campaign in AFCON in Egypt last year.
