The Kabaka Foundation chief executive officer Edward Kaggwa Ndagala has revealed that plans are in the final stages of sending a delegation of farmers to Kenya on a benchmarking tour whose mission would serve as a springboard of empowering local farmers to boost their farm gate production and productivity capacities.
Ndagala made the remarks Sunday 11 May 2025 as chief guest during a reception marking the 4th anniversary celebrations for members of the Lubaga Cathedral Parish Tuesday Class Alumni Association, a body which brings together hundreds of married couples of the church which was at Pope Paul Memorial hotel Ndeeba lake view gardens.
Ndagala revealed that the Foundation in collaboration with the Mengo ministry of agriculture have made arrangements with the ministry of agriculture Republic of Kenya to send a powerful delegation of seasonal farmers majoring in both agriculture and livestock farming so that they can master how best to improve on their product quality and productivity.
The tour dubbed ‘Omulimi Kungwa Nairobi Farmers Tour’ shall discuss topics including,, modern farming techniques, Technology and Agriculture as well as Small scale farming among others.
He revealed that so far over 4 Bishops have enlisted for the tour and implored farmers to take up the opportunity by paying up for the trip slated for 17th June -21 st June 2025 in Nairobi with all expenses covered going for 1.4m road and 2.4m by air respectively.
The Association chairman Bahati Bernard thanked both the church and Buganda Kingdom for exposing themembers to the vast and rich knowledge about how to keep strong marital relationship despite the numerous societal challenges saying they have recommitted themselves to remain souls.
He congratulated colleagues like Bobi Wine and wife Barbie among others for making it to the fourth anniversary of the Association growth and development agenda.
