The Mothers Union of Namirembe diocese church of Uganda have organized a national marathon meant to raise 400m/= towards completion of phase 1 of their proposed mega high rise commercial plaza building project which would in future generate resources to support the church projects and programs.
The remarks have today been made by Roseline Biingi Kawiso the Union national president during an exclusive interview with this website at Namirembe hill cathedral.
She appealed for funding support towards completion of construction works for their proposed 10Bn multi storied commercial complex which aims at raising funds to cover funding gaps for future church projects and programs.
‘We call all stakeholders and friends of the church of Uganda and Mothers Union in particular to join us in the forthcoming marathon set to happen 7th June 2025 by each kit going for 25k which targets at raising 400m to complete phase 1 of the project’ noted Kawiso.
She made the appeal during an exclusive interview with this website yesterday at their Namirembe based headquarters who said that they are building capacity for the public to come up and support them in raising funds for the multibillions project.
She appealed to people to come and buy a marathon kit of 25k as contribution for the project which shall go a long way in supporting them to meet other financial needs of the church.
‘We are undertaking to construct a commercial complex project including a building adjacent to Namirembe Cathedral with the aim of boosting income through offices, conference hall, shops, day care centre and a hotel among others’ noted Kawiso
Samali Nkumi and Rachel Ndaula both separately said they welcome all God loving and fearing Christians to come forward and support the works of the Lord because it was him who provided the wisdom for us to make the money.
