MP Akol transferred to IHK after nasty accident

KIlak North Member of Parliament, Anthony Akol has been transferred to International Hospital in Kampala for proper management after a nasty road accident last night.

Akol was being driven in a Toyota Prado, registration UAY 347W while on his way from Gulu to Kampala when his driver, Felix Ongora knocked a cow.

The accident happened last evening at Wakisanyi village in Nakasongola along Gulu-Kampala high way.

Akol, according to sources sustained injuries on the chest as a result of seat belt.

His driver, Ongora is also in critical condition.

Regional Police spokesperson, Paul Kangave confirmed the incident saying the lawmaker had been rushed to Kiryandongo Hospital.

However, a while ago, MP Sylvia Akello has confirmed that Akol is being transferred to IHK in Kampala.

“We are already in Kafu,” Akello said saying they are on their way to IHK.
