By Francis Otucu

Maria Nabayunga, a laboratory technician showed up at her sister’s home in Buziga last evening nearly a week after she was reported missing.

Nabayunga went missing and her family had not been in position to find her since last Thursday and her phone was off.

However, Jane Nakanwagi a younger sister to Nabayunga told the Daily Monitor that she found her sister at her door steps on Wednesday evening moments after news of her suspected kidnap circulated.

Now, in a brief statement released a while ago, the police say Nabayunga was not kidnapped but had her own problems.

According to police, the matter is being handled closely together with her family.

“Ms Maria Nabayunga that we have been looking for, yesterday, returned home and she is safe. Ms Maria Nabayunga was not kidnapped. She had her own problems, which problems both the family and Police are handling. We want to thank everyone who contributed in one way or another during the search for her,” the statement reads.
