Sunday afternoon, Buhweju Member of Parliament, Francis Mwijukye of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) and his counterpart Hon Charles Ngabirano for Rwampara (National Resistance Movement – NRM) were involved in a minor accident at Mbarara.
This news site understands that the duo was travelling in Mwijukye’s car when it collided with a Toyota Wish near Agip in Mbarara town.
Sources say they had just left Radio West where they had had a radio talk show.
According to Ngabirano, they didn’t sustain any injuries.
“I was traveling with Hon Mwijukye in his official vehicle and that other ravaged car knocked us . We did not sustain any injuries ,the guy who knocked us ran away but has been apprehended and taken to hospital. He was very drunk and the vehicle was running like a bullet,” Ngabirano told local radio, Crooze FM.

Ingrid Turinawe, FDC’s Women League Chief said Mwijukye is well.
