Uganda’s first ICT Manufacturing and assembling factory was on Saturday set to export 18,000 phones to Morocco. These include Ugandan made smart phones and feature phones. The factory produces 2,500 phones per day which is enough to supply Uganda &create a surplus for export.
The assembly plant was launched at Namanve Industrial Park in November last year by President Yoweri Museveni.
The pieces for export include smart phones and feature phones.
