Namilyango College Parents Renews PTA Office Mandate For Three (3) Years Contract.

The parents of Namilyango College have appreciated the great work being done by the college administration whose achievements have positively impacted on the face of the 123-year-old education facility whose progress resulted in the extension of the term of office for their PTA executive committee for three more years after posting good performance indicators.

The comments were made by various parents   during their annual general meeting held at the college after the parents discussed all the reports which indicated achievements in areas of infrastructure development, improved students and staff welfare and academic performance among others.

The parents after receiving and listening in from the executive members unanimously resolved to return the executive committee back in office for another term of three years in appreciation for their dedicated efforts of serving the college.

The executive committee members include Dr. Betty Nanzigu Mwesigwa as vice chairperson, Ronald Ssonko treasurer and Oluk Christopher teacher’s representative.

Other committee members include Saul Abok, Maria Mubeezi Kalula, Dr. Fred Kasiisa and Teddy Jabweli among others who collectively thanked the parents for the trust saying they would work hard to achieve the set targets under their 10-year strategic plan.

The chairman Eng.Ronald Kato Kayizzi told the over 2,000 parents that they managed to accomplish many lined up projects especially fixing the general infrastructure system which has given the 123-year-old college a new facelift.

He commended the parents for the support rendered to them which enabled them work as a solid team to push the college development agenda forward.

The college headmaster Mpuuga Constantine Sajjabbi in his report said they had taken a decision to ban kaveera from the college effective next academic calendar year of 2026 as a deliberate strategy of protecting the environment and promoting the use of electronic paper.

Mpuuga disclosed   that the college executive committee took a deliberate decision to ban Kaveera effective 2026 academic calendar year because they have continued to maintain the 30 acres of land of which 17 acres is hosting a planted forest cover therefore all should comply when implementation of the ban takes effect because kaveera was responsible for the degradation and pollution of the environment.

‘The college is going to be a No -kaveera territory effective 2026 and we expect all stakeholders to support this decision for the common good of all’ noted Mpuuga adding they would be embracing the paperless environment as a deliberate strategy of preserving and protecting the greenery at the college which is currently forested.

He commended the government for the financial supported extended to the college which has significantly contributed to the development agenda of the college
