Jubilations and cheers marred residents of Luwa town council in Namisindwa district when district woman member of parliament hopeful for 2026 Zubeda Caesar Wasike donated hoes to her people.
The hoes were handed over to the locals at Luwa town council and there is a project to distribute more other items ensuring that everyone benefits under the Zubeda Wasike project 2026.
According to Zubeda Wasike, she realized that during this wet season her people need hoes to start clearing their gardens before planting.
“I donated onion seeds too which were handed over to my coordinating chairman Shadrack Namboko and soon more donations would given to other areas according to their needs” Zubeda Wasike said
She added that last week several school going girl children were given another batch of sanitary pads following the ones she donated last year.
Wasike who is a darling to the voters of Namisindwa has gone ahead to donate solar systems to the saloon ladies in Luwa town council.
“Am ready to serve my people and more so if given the mandate because every area has different issues to solve like the problems of the Catholics are not those of the other religions, also other societies may require different attentions” Zubeda pointed out.
Last year towards the end of the final exams period over 600 school going (Girl child) students received free reusable sanitary pads from Ceazer Zubeda Wasike.
Those who benefited were in Lwakhakha and Bubutu secondary schools in Namisindwa district.
According to Zubeda the reusable pads could be used for a period of over two years giving a smile to the faces of the beneficiaries.
“Am doing this because I want the girl child to continue staying at school longer and complete their education since they are the next leaders, they should have self confidence and esteem more so at the time some are sitting for their exams,” Zubeda told the Second Opinion Publications.
She said that the services will be extended to other needy women in Namisindwa with similar problems while expectant mothers could be supported differently.
Zubeda Ceazer Wasike declared to oust Sarah Netalisire as district woman MP for Namisindwa come 2026 general elections.
Several people including the youths and women have vowed to vote for her because she has always been close to them and share their communal needs.
The girls who benefited from the reusable pads told us that they had never seen pads in their lifetime and promised to argue with their parents and to support the religious person Zubeda Ceazer Wasike for her parliamentary bid come 2026 elections in Namisindwa district.
“I request you to vote for me when the time comes as the new next district woman member of parliament for Namisindwa district,” Zubeda asked.
