By Nathan Ngobi

Caeser Zubeda Wasike, the leader of Impact Ministries International, a church founded by the late Bishop Patrick Okabe, has entered the race to unseat   Namisindwa Woman MP Sarah Netalisire come 2026 general election.

Zubenda, a sister to Namisindwa District Chairman Jackson Wakweika, believes it is time for new leadership in the district, stating that the current leadership is not progressing well. She emphasized that the district needs a tested and experienced administrator like herself to guide it to greater heights.

Namisindwa district is represented in parliament by Sarah Netalisire who is worried and in tears following the declaration of Zubeda , the new player on the political block, Netalisire, formerly Manafwa district woman MP who reportedly voted in favour of the coffee bill where the Uganda coffee development Authority (UCDA) was phased off and taken to the ministry of Agriculture forgetting that her voters in the district are coffee farmers.

Known for her strong support in growing churches, Zubeda plans to mobilize churchgoers to embrace positive change that will create an impact in the community. She emphasized the need for honest and trustworthy leaders to be entrusted with leadership roles.

Zubeda joins Khalayi Peace, Khanakwa Sarah, Rev. Grace Namukhura, and Dorothy Walukawu in the race for the NRM flag. Recently, Namisindwa residents, during a news broadcast on NBS Television, accused the current Woman MP Sarah Netalisire for abandoning them. It remains unclear if Sarah Netalisire will seek re-election.

Water

To address the water challenges in Namisindwa, Zubeda plans to table bills in parliament to ensure that the NWSC reduces water tariffs in rural areas making clean water affordable for all.

She said that she   will advocate for the extension of water to all the sub counties and provision of public taps in every trading centre, ensuring equitable access to clean water.

 Trade

Namisindwa district is strategically located as a broader district to Kenya represents immense opportunities for trade and commerce, however, the business community faces numerous challenges including high taxes and limited access to finance and restrictive trade regulation. She is set to table bills aimed at reducing taxes and streamlining trade regulations making it easier for business to thrive

Health

There is absence of comprehensive healthcare services devastating consequences particularly for expectant mothers who risk losing their lives due to preventable complications.

“This is why I am committed to lobby for the establishment of another big government health center IV. This facility will provide specialized services, including maternal and child healthcare, surgery and laboratory services to ensure Namisindwans receive quality care services”. Zubeda noted.

Infrastructure

Namisindwa’s infrastructure has been neglected for far too long hindering our progress and potential

Road network. The district’s road network is in a deplorable state making it difficult for some people to access many places, Roads like Bumbo to Soono, the road that the president has always promised to rehabilitate but all has been in vain making farmers from Bukokho and Bumbosub counties hard to transport their goods to markets, the road will be her first priority as a member of parliament and will always  remind the president for the roads  to be made.

Electricity power.

There is inadequate power supply in Namisindwa district particularly in Namisindwa county and some sub counties in Bubulo East constituency.

Zubeda plans to lobby the ministry of energy and Uganda electricity Distribution Company limited to increase power supply in Namisindwa District and collaborate with the district leadership to identify the priority areas.
