Mellisa Kayanja Nakyomu, 17, has been found, after 5 days of her whereabouts being unknown.
She went missing on February 14, 2020 (Valentine’s Day).
Minutes before her kidnapping, she was seen at Acacia Mall in Kampala.
There, she met people she knew through social media.
That marked the beginning of her kidnap.
Her phones went off.
Acting on suspicion, her family then reported a case of kidnap at Kanyanya Police Station Vide SD Ref 45/15/02/020.
This commenced the probe into her kidnap.
Days later, she has been found.
However, her situation is not the same.
Detectives say she was found Wednesday in a house in Muyenga, Makindye Division.
Investigations so far shows she was first dragged and then gang-raped.
Three people have been arrested to help with investigations.
Nakyomu is a former student of St. Juliana Secondary School, Gayaza.
