Sheikh Mutumba killer arrested, gun recovered

FINALLY: Days after a thorough hunt for killers of Sheikh Mutumba Masudi last Friday, the police have apprehended the prime suspect in the brutal killing.

Mugoya Abiyasad, a supervisor of SGA private security company was nabbed Wednesday morning from Kampala.

He also led investigators to Rubaga Division in Kampala where the gun he used in the killing was retrieved.

Also impounded is an Ipsum vehicle used in transporting murder plotters.

“The task team is now focusing on the facts and physical evidence, to clearly bring out the roles played by each of the suspects,” Police spokesman, Fred Enanga said.
