Onyango is okay: Coach Desabre rules out Onyango injury fears

By Francis Otucu
Uganda Cranes Head coach Sebastien Desabre has clarified that Cranes Captain Denis Onyango is not injured.

This after the shot-stopper was seen off in the game Vs host Egypt last night.

There were fears the team’s star man was injured.

Speaking in a post-match interview however, Desabre said Onyango was attacked by flu days before the game, saying he is not injured and is now okay.

“He is doing well. He never got injured. He was down with flu for two days prior to the match against Egypt but he is very okay now,” he said.

This means that the only player injured in the Cranes camp is Murushid Jjuuko.

The Cranes are yet to know who they will play in the next round of the 2019 AFCON.

Uganda Cranes Contingent in Cairo will have a day off today.

Training resumes tomorrow.
