Days after being forced out of office, beleaguered Director of Communications Chris Obore has an ‘unofficially’ spoken out.
Through his Twitter handle (@ChrisObore1), the man from the East ‘said’ Sunday that if there were no challenges, maybe life would not be interesting.
“If there were no challenges, perhaps life wouldn’t be interesting,” Obore Tweeted Sunday. Silence, Obore added, cannot be misquoted.
“But silence is the only thing that can’t be misquoted.”
Earlier, Obore had Tweeted, “Systems, systems. Institutions, institutions. We talk about them. We know there value. But…”
It is not clear whether Obore was referring to situation he finds himself in currently.
His tweet’s timing, however, cannot be underrated.
Last Friday, Obore was sent into forced leave.
This followed Clerk to Parliament’s letter sending the former Daily Monitor Investigative Journalist home.
Jane Kibirige, the Clerk of Parliament wrote to Obore on Wednesday, noting, “I have been directed to inform you to take your accumulated leave with immediate effect,” Jane Kibirige’s letter copied to the Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, Deputy Speaker, Jacob Oulanyah, Deputy Clerk Corporate Affairs, Henry Waiswa, and Deputy Clerk and also the Directors for Human Resource and Finance, reads.
Obore is yet to officially respond to his ‘going on leave’
