The police are in the final stages of exhibiting a Toyota Carib at the Central Police Station in Lira after intelligence linked it to have caused an accident involving Kole Woman MP.
Sources say the vehicle was retrieved from Ngetta Ginery outside of Lira town.
“The vehicle involved in Apac accident Vide TAR 20/2019 of Apac CPS has been recovered parked at Ngetta Ginery,” a source said.
The said vehicle, registration number UAE 996R is believed to have caused an accident at Amii swamp along Apac-Akokoro road.
It is said to have pushed off the road, a Toyota Land Cruiser registration number UAY 907Y.
Occupants of the Land Cruiser that veered off the road before overturning included Kole woman MP, Judith Alyek.
She has been hospitalized at Nightingale Hospital in the northern town of Apac.
Also admitted are bodyguard, Douglas Abicha and driver, Bonny Olwoch.
A traffic related matter has been registered at the Central Police Station in Apac Vide TAR 20/19.
