Luga flow artist, Gereson Wabuyi alias Gravity Omutujju last night threw a bottle at city disk jockey, Seth Mwalye aka DJ Ciza.
The Bebe Cool-Lugogo fans-like incident happened at a thanksgiving fete at Kyambogo University after the reggae and dance hall DJ declined to slot Omutujju’s ‘hit’ songs in his queue.
The Second Opinion understand DJ Ciza was led out of the event by bouncers.
He shortly went on his social media platforms to castigate Omutujju.
“Aye! Gravity Omutujju threw a bottle at me a few hrs ago-had to get escorts and shit for fear of his kadeyideyis-Wow! I love UG music but not at that expense-FUCK Off!! We can do without that. Playing at KYU again?! Was so excited but Wah-Never again!” Ciza posted on his verified twitter account.
Fellow DJs have jumped in to condemn Omutujju’s act.
“You don’t f****k with the system that supports your movement. It’s a cycle/ a system that is meant to support its self through…. that’s what we are building I thought. And now with this kind of behavior, some system components break away from the system which dismantles it meaning the self-sustaining parts survive….
“Basically all I am saying you don’t piss in the plate that helps you serve your food… unless you are opting for other options like using banana leaves to serve your food. Might not have the full might to change everyone’s behavior but at least I can not only talk about, but also choose not to deal with people with such idiot behavior in anyway…. I am sure one party definitely loses depending on which side of the thin line you are standing. Will do the most not to let such behavior prevail,” Joe Nsubuga alias DJ Jo, DJ Ciza’s colleague at Bugolobi based local radio, Radiocity said.
