The Police at Rubindi Police Station are holding two people in connection with the murder of an 80-year-old woman, a resident of Katete Cell, Kariro Parish in Rubindi Sub-County.
Julius Komwani, 46 who is the deceased son and Denis Muhumuza, 36, are being held on allegations of killing Agnes Komurere, 80.
Komurere was found laying lifeless Monday morning with deep yet double cuts on her head.
The deceased is said to have sold a piece of land and therefore had money in the house.
Detectives who visited the scene of crime Monday believe that the son, with the help of his neighbor killed his mother in order to take the money.
However, they did not get the money given it was kept with another family member.
The matter is under investigation Vide CRB 176/2019 of Rubindi.
