The Uganda Bureau of Standards (UNBS) has set aside funds to cater for hotel and conference facilities, according to the latest bid notice published by the agency.
The services will be provided under framework contract arrangement, says Acting Executive Director, Patricia Ejalu.
According to Ms. Ejalu, the bidding process is being conducted in accordance with the open Domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003, and was open to all bidders.
The bidding documents in English were purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below at 8(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Shs 100,000. The method of payment was using URA BPAF. Bidders had to offer a bid security of Shs3 million.
The evaluation of the bidding process is to be done on August 30, 2019 while display and communication of best evaluated bidder notice is to be done on September 5, 2019. Contract signing is to be done on September 30, 2019.
The bids were opened on July 16, 2019 in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the exercise at UNBS headquarters in Kampala.
