Uganda’s Counter terrorism team is on high alert following the recent arrest of one of Kenya/America’s most wanted terrorist, Abdikadir Mohammed Mahat.
Mahat was arrested on February 10, 2020 at Elegu border in Amuru district.
Others arrested are; Sulaiman Dhahir and Mohamed Biriq.
The trio was detained at the Central Police Station, Gulu so as to spend Monday night.
They were then transferred Tuesday morning to Kampala by the Counter Terrorism experts for proper management.
Details available show that before Mahat fled Nairobi in March last year, he was accused by the United States of America of providing support to the Al-shabab in Somalia.
At the time of his arrest, Mahat was being driven in Chamonix car, registration number SSD 168 BC on his way to Juba, South Sudan.

Following Mahat’s arrest, Uganda is on high alert.
This after plans to attack Owino Market, State House Nakesero, Serena Hotel and Mulago Hospital among other sensitive places.
To this, Counter Terrorism Director Abas Byakagaba has authored a two-page directive so as to counter the threat.
