Senior police officers have tested positive for Covid-19, this news site exclusively reports.
The tests conducted by the Ministry of Health officials revealed officers caught the virus.
“They are either hospitalized or in self isolation,” a knowledgeable source told this site last night.
The officers are attached to the force’s Finance and Legal dockets.
“Part of police headquarters is non-operational. This is because there is a disinfection exercise going on,” the source added.
For instance, AIGP Kasingye is not in office Monday.
This, slightly a month when AIGP Kasingye confirmed he tested positive for the virus. By Sunday night, Uganda had registered 301 new cases of Covid-19 with the total now at 17, 968 with 172 deaths.
