Tourist Kidnap: Captors Demand USD500, 000 Ransom

By Francis Otucu

Using a phone belonging to one of their victims, kidnappers have tasked authorities to pay a ransom of USD500, 000, an equivalent of about 1.8 billion Uganda shillings.

This after last evening’s kidnap of American, Kimberley Sue Endecott and his driver, Jean Paul Mirengo Remezo.

The incident happened near Katoke Gate in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Five other tourists were abandoned unhurt.

A joint operation by the Police, Uganda Peoples Defense Forces and Uganda Wildlife Authority Game Wardens is on a hunt for kidnappers in trying to locate where the captors are so as to rescue victims of the said abduction.
