Uganda’s Parliament is mourning the death of one of its members who succumbed to Coronavirus Tuesday.
“Parliament has learnt with sorrow of the untimely death of Hon Faith Alupo, Woman MP for Pallisa District which occurred at Mulago Hospital. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” Parliament tweeted Tuesday afternoon.
The institution however did not reveal her cause of death.
However, reports indicate she died of the virus at Mulago Hospital.
The Ministry of Health is yet to issue an official statement in line with Alupo’s death.
Her district, Paliisa has been advised not to convene any gathering while her burial is to be conducted by a team of experts.
Until her death, she was Paliisa District Woman Member of Parliament.
