Umukhukha Creeper Wagabyalire left in blue as Rosary Don Gidagui Turns Jesus Disciple

Bugisu Elder John Amran Wagabyalire’s attempt to cling onto the now contentious Umukhukha seat fell flat after one of his would-be key cogs rejected his ministerial appointment.

Credible reports from Bugisu indicate that despite his claim to the vacant Umukhukhaship being rejected by government through the Gender Ministry, Wagabyalire had gone ahead to defiantly appoint his cabinet. Sources indicate that among the people he had appointed is Gregory Gidagui Mafabi aka The Rosary Don, a Musulani from Bunawodya clan, Inzu ya Mwambu lineage.

According to documents seen by this news site, Wagabyalire had exploited Gidagui’s legendary generosity and philanthropy to name him as the Minister for Corporate, Financial and Fundraising Matters for the Inzu ya Bamasaba.

To Wagabyalire’s dismay however, Gidagui humbly turned down the appointment, citing his newfound calling as a DISCIPLE OF CHRIST.

“I do thank you and appreciate this love for me and the confidence in me. This is a good gesture of unity. However, I am afraid I will not take up the assignment …. Apparently, I have a passion to fulfill in my lifetime before I depart from this earthly world. I have decided to imitate and promote Jesus Christ’s passion and humility. This calls for my involvement in promoting spiritual related fundamentals. I have chosen to be a disciple of Jesus Christ ministry. I will therefore find it hard to fulfill the divergent goals in the opposite direction…,” Gidagui stated in part while rejecting Wagabyalire’s cunning ‘advances’.

However, in a display of his long-known magnanimity, Gidagui pledged to support Wagabyalire in efforts that uplift all Bagisu. This is however on condition that the government gazettes him as the rightful Omukhukha to succeed late Bugisu Cultural leader, Sir Bob Mushikoli.

“…However, should by your luck government gazette you, be assured of my support qualitatively and quantitatively to enhance our cultural institution and its aspirations to promote our cultural heritage,” Gidagui, who is known to wear the biggest rosary in imbalu land, pledged.

It should be noted that Wagabyalire lost the race to replace the late Mushikoli to Jude Mudoma who now awaits confirmation as the new Umukhukha. However, Wagabyalire rejected the results of the elections that took place within the inzu ya mwambu as dictated by the inzu ya Bamasaba constitution.

Sources now believe that basing on this fact, a sane and peace-loving Gidagui could not allow to be part of Wagabyalire’s divisiveness.

Sources also add that the appointment of Gidagui came at a wrong time for Wagabyalire. Sources privy to the shrewd businessmen intimated to us that following a covid-19 scare on his life, the staunch Catholic Rosary Don is currently in a period of reawakening and spiritual revival, which has even seen him reconcile with his hitherto nemesis and elder brother, Cosmas Busima. Reports indicate that the two powerful siblings have since buried the hatchet and teamed up to form the Francisco Giboni Mafabi Foundation in memory of their late father.

Through the foundation, the siblings hatched a mission to educate and help Bagisu that are under the threat of the raging pandemic. Already, they have been commended for sharing their own battles with Covid-19 and also educating fellow Bagisu on the real-time steps that Gidagui took to heal from the disease. They have also since extended aid worth over shs5m to some families struggling with food during the biting lockdown.
