The ministry of Local Government has delivered 399 bicycles to be distributed to the LC1’s and LCII Chairpersons of Budaka district.

These bicycles are intended to benefit 323 LCI’s and 76 LCII Chairpersons from all villages across the district.
According to Elly Piwang, the Chief Administrative Officer, the bicycles would be distributed to the intended beneficiaries after the official launch of the Parish Development Model (PDM) in Kibuku district by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

CAO Piwang noted that the launch is expected on the 6th February 2022.

He also appreciated the government of Uganda for the commendable work done in supporting the Chairpersons execute their roles while in the communities for improved service delivery.

In April 2021, government delivered standardized stamps to Budaka district which were distributed to both LCI’s and LCII Chairpersons in the district. This was done to minimize overlap and duplication among the office bearers.
