Bishop Oullo resigns to contest for Agule county MP seat in Pallisa district

Bishop Simon Peter Oullo

Over 3,000 people drawn from all corners of Agule county in Pallisa district convened to the home of  Bishop Simon Peter Oullo of Good Shepherd ministries international who has been a head teacher of Bukedea SSS for eight years and took a decision to seek for early retirement this month with intentions to aspire for NRM party flag in Agule county.

Moses Angisa, the Agule county chairperson for team Oullo said they thought of Rt. Rev. Oullo because he is the only person without  a stain of any nature and is open hearted.

Angisa said several people have imposed themselves for Agule county but for the case of Bishop Oullo they requested him to retire early  to represent them in parliament come 2026 to have moderate competition.

“I have supported most MPs in Pallisa since the time when Hon. Opange Lious was MP but there is no honest person than Oullo who listens to all without discrimination. He is  a threat to other contestants because of his popularity that is why some of hopeful aspirants to be say he should have concentrated on his education career and winning more souls for God as ordained,” Bishop Angisa said.

Joyce Mary Asio of Kameke sub county asked people gathered to go and mobilize support for Oullo so that he takes the flag to pave way for final general elections in February 2026.

“I would like to thank Bishop Oullo for accepting the call of the people because political players in Agule have messed the county with the most educated people in Pallisa that I’d why some people lured Mrs. Ibaseret Josephine the deputy RDC of Namusindwa to come and contest leaving the district seat. I would like honestly to say situation Agule is in a lady cannot manage am talking out of experience and Christian in terrible missions God sent men  to lead the battles  not women,” Asio said.

George Oule Omoding the Pallisa district NRM chairperson who was in consultative meeting asked people of Agule to vote for their own people not from  Pallisa county.

Mr. Oule said Agule has a variety of people willing to contest such as Herbert Okello, Polycarp Ogwari, Adam Obeke, Patrick Okiring and the incumbent Hon Ochwa David rather than Hon Sam Otukol the MP of Pallisa who has jumped to Agule .

” I don’t fear telling you  that don’t waste time with MP Otukol Sam a.k.a Samix zigzag who has run away from Pallisa after failing to fulfill the pledges he made.Never make your county a landing ground for political opportunists.. Those who want to record my voice and take to him you are free  to do so and send to him who has failed to run Pallisa county “,Mr Oule said

Oule said

Bishop Oullo expressed joy for his massive endorsement and said he wanted a leader who is a unifier, developer, not job seekers as most hopefuls plead .

” I requested my agents when time for the campaign starts to be calm, preach unity and highlight what I want to do for Agule and avoid antagonizing with brothers and sisters of other candidates. Remember I am not looking for a job because I have left being a Head teacher and i’m focusing on serving communities of Agule to come out of poverty in formulated SACCOs.

Mr. Oluka Vincent Epoketom the LC3 chairperson of Kameke sub county who has been an ardent supporter of Hon. Ogwari Polycarp said he wanted to identify with the winning team.

Rev Ariebi Luke from Boliso sub county the leader of God power healing ministries said he got news with great joy about the news of Bishop Oullo Simon’s candidature.

Rev. Ariebi said servants of God are  also free to participate in leadership roles  and nobody should discourage people from voting for Bishop Oullo.

Joseph Okello of Chelekura sub county said some people who are against Oullo’s candidature are spreading rumours that the speaker of parliament Annet Anita Among ( Bukedea);is the one who has sent Oullo.

“Please don’t accept such allegations. Rt. Hon. Anita Among has three tasks for herself. She wants to come unopposed. She wants to retain her position in parliament and also wants to be the Vice Chairperson of NRM (Female). Does she really have time for Agule?” Okello asked.
