BUDO/WAKISO
The family of the late Ansanasio Buwule and Namulwana Eva of Budo in Kyengera town council Wakiso district has filed a petition with the presidential special taskforce on land matters and environment seeking recovery of their land which was grabbed by a mafia.
Nambooze Samalie as chief petitioner of the family lodged the complaint dated 12th September 2025 at the taskforce offices in Mengo claiming that their family kibanja located on plot 837 block 535 at Kisozi B LC1 in Kyengera town council was reportedly grabbed by their immediate neighbor named as Edward Kibalama.

She narrated to the lawyers that it all started when the family of Kiyengo Dan alleged that they bought land from Kibalama Edward whois brother of Ssal George William the person in the first land dispute.
Kibalama is a heir to Stanley Lukwago a neighbor to the family of late Buwule senior who owned this kibanja from 1932 and there is evidence that he was paying Busuulu all through to Makamba Estate therefore it is surprising thatte neighbor Kibalama alleges that is father Lukwago Stanley was a brother to Tabula who is the one who sold the kibanja to land to his late father without the knowledge of the sitting tenants.

Duncan Sematimba who is secretary to the Makamba Estate said they have records that clearly indicate that the kibanja belongs to the family of Buwule and that they have never sold the same and issued a land title to anybody but issues letters confirming that the rightful kibanja land owners are of Buwule respectively.
Nambooze therefore wants the taskforce to recover their land and evict the neighbor with costs.
The taskforce legal officer pledged to summon the other party to bring proof of ownership of the kibanja in question before a judgment is entered.
