The Uganda Cranes, currently in Abu Dhabi, is set for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be hosted by Egypt.
The team, according to the players, is in tip-top shape, with Sweden-based attacker Abdu Lumala saying they are looking forward to having keeper Denis Onyango in goal.
The 21-year Lumala, who turns up for Syrianska, said the Cranes will take on the opposite sides in the continental showdown, to be held from June 21 ‘game by game’.
Meanwhile, sources indicate Cranes Coach Sebastien Desabre will name a 23-man squad today, before the team takes on Ivory Coast in a friendly on June 15.
Uganda is grouped alongside Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Egypt and Zimbabwe.
