Crime Preventer Held for Murder

The Central Police Station, Rubanda is holding a crime preventer for murder.

Well-placed sources have identified the suspect as Baker Asiimwe, a crime preventer in the area.

The police say he is being held for questioning Vide SD Ref 25/10/05/2020 of Muko in relation to the death of Stanley Tugume, 47, a resident of Rurembo village, Butaare parish, Muko sub-county Rubanda district.

Preliminary findings show that Tugume was assaulted by Asiimwe on May 10, 20 at 9pm before he died.

Against this background, Tugume handed himself to Muko Police Station the next day.

However, he has been transferred to the CPS, Rubanda where is currently being detained.
