Forgive Me! Deputy Speaker Anita Among Apologizes To Politicians She ‘Injured’ During Campaigns

The deputy speaker of the eleventh parliament Rt. Hon. Anita Among has in her end of year 2021 message apologized to all those whom she knowingly or unknowingly hurt in the year 2021 .

Among said as a leader asked for forgiveness from  all those she wronged during the previous year.

She revealed this while attending her new year’s prayers at Bukedea catholic church over the weekend.

“I want to Congratulate the Security chiefs and our armed forces for keeping our great Country stable in 2021. I salute your sacrifice, dedication and commitment to a secure the  Country,” Among said.

Turning to education sector, Among appreciated all the teachers across the country, saying, “I salute your hard work and the crucial role you play in shaping the Citizens. Wish you all a great 2022 as we are due to open schools.”

The deputy speaker said Covid-19 pandemic has made “us realize more deeply the critical role our health workers play every day and thanked all the health workers who continue to make our health facilities functional. I salute your hard work and wish you all a great 2022.”

Among commended the staff of  the Parliamentary Commission for the hard work they do that enables Parliament to function smoothly.

“As your Leader, I want to salute you all and wish you a great 2022. To all our friends in the Fourth estate, thank you for the noble work you do every day in covering the proceedings of Parliament and informing the Country. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and wish  all the citizens of this great country, thank you for trusting us with the noble task of legislating on your behalf. I sincerely thank all those who positively impacted my life. God bless you all,” Among said.
