As part of its continuous process to bring services nearer to the people, the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development has opened a ministry zonal office that will serve both the residents of Rukungiri and Kanungu districts in western Uganda.
The opening of the new facility means residents do not have to travel to Kampala to carry out land transactions as has been the case in the past. It also means residents will save the money that would have been used for transport, accommodation and other unnecessary costs while in Kampala.
The residents and other clients will now easily access services like; land title processing, land Search, transfers, mortgages registration, lodging caveats and sub- division of land among others.
“Please inform other people who may not be aware. Avoid dealing with fraudsters. We have all experts and staff ready to serve you and our offices are fully operational,” said Ms Christine Asiimwe, the Land Officer/Head Rukungiri Ministry Zonal Office
The office is located at Nyerere Avenue opposite Mopphy hotels and Eastern Division offices.
