Lightning kills 4 in Kanungu

A family in the Western district of Kanungu is grieving after four of their family members were finished off by lightning Wednesday evening.

Sources say the incident happened Kyashamiro Trading Centre, Mafuga Forest Reserve in Rutenga Sub-County when the victims were drying sorghum.  

They have been identified as Herbert Kanyonyi, 38, Avitus Niwamanya, 20, Fred Akandwanaho, 13 and a one Byukama aged 40.

Two people escaped death with injuries.
