Minister’s son died of pressure

Joshua Engola, the deceased son of Defense State Minister Charles Okello Engola Macodwogo, was sick, his father has confirmed.

Engola Macodwogo, who also doubles as Oyam North County MP, said Monday that his son was battling pressure and was due for medication.

Joshua Engola, who died 10 kilometers to Bombo last evening while traveling to Kampala, was in same car with his father.

Earlier, the father said, Joshua had complained of difficulty in breathing.

The younger Engola was today expected to report for duty at the Internal Security Organization (ISO) headquarters in Nakasero.

Family members including father are at the Bombo Military Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Preliminary burial arrangement indicate that the younger Engola is to be buried on Saturday at his ancestral home in Iceme, Oyam district.

Said to be in his thirties, Joshua is survived by a wife and two-year old child.
