President Yoweri Museveni and the First Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni, the Minister of Education & Sports have wished PLE and O and A level candidates success in their upcoming examinations. Exams start October and November respectively.
A total of
695,468 candidates have been registered to sit the Primary Leaving Examinations
(PLE). The majority of this lot is UPE-funded: 475,852.
For O’level, 337,380 have been registered while those registered for the
A’level exams are 104,467. The USE-funded candidates registered for the Senior
Four final exams are 144,131. A level will have 104,467 candidates sitting
this year.
This year’s exams will be conducted under the theme Integrity and security in the management of examinations is my responsibility.
